Signing With Miss Steph Terms and Conditions

The following constitute the terms and conditions to which registrants agree when booking any Signing With Miss Steph face-to-face training or e-learning courses (Terms and Conditions). For privacy and cookie use information, please click here. Signing With Miss Steph reserves the right to review and update these periodically. Signing With Miss Steph will deny access to any class/workshop/event (whether in-person or online) to any individual who does not agree to the terms and conditions contained in this Terms and Conditions Agreement. Further, Signing With Miss Steph reserves the right to terminate access to any individual who does not abide by these terms and conditions.

Space is limited - register early!

There are a limited number of spaces in each class - both in person and online. The exact number of available spaces will differ from venue to venue.

Unless otherwise noted (such as in the case of an exclusive pre-registration period for a hosting organization) all classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration is not complete, and your space is not secured, until payment and registration paperwork has been completed.

Cancellations

Signing With Miss Steph reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop, or event because of low registration or events beyond Signing With Miss Steph's control. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified and offered the option to switch to a different course or receive a full refund.

If you notify Signing With Miss Steph in writing (by email or post) that you wish to cancel a registration not less than 14 days before the start date of a class/workshop/event/etc., you will be entitled to a 80% refund. Refunds will be processed with 28 days of receiving your request via the payment method used at the time of registration.

If you withdraw for any reason less than 14 days before the start date of a class/workshop/event, no refund will be issued but you may transfer your place to a substitute. Substitutions should be notified to the Signing With Miss Steph at least 48 hours in advance. If you fail to attend the class/workshop/event for which you are booked without giving prior notice to Signing With Miss Steph, we are unable to refund the course fees or offer a transfer.

If you will miss single class sessions during a series of classes, no partial refund will be given. Make-up classes may be available. Please ask your instructor for further details.

Pricing and Payment

Unless otherwise noted, the listed price for a class includes all required materials.

For parent/child classes, the registration fee allows one or two caregivers to attend with the registered child. Only one set of materials will be distributed.

For child-only and adult-only classes, the registration price admits one student who will receive one set of materials, unless otherwise noted.

Signing With Miss Steph reserves the right to make pricing changes without notice.

Fees must be paid at the point of booking via the secure online payment process. If you have an applicable discount code this must be entered at the time of booking, as the discount cannot be applied retrospectively.

In select circumstances, payment may be arranged via cash, check, or money order. Please contact Signing With Miss Steph to request special arrangements. Checks returned for non payment/insufficient funds will incur a $35 fee.

Please note that if you do not provide accurate details (including type of card and number) or if your credit card company does not authorize payment, your registration will be deemed void. Signing With Miss Steph will not accept any liability for costs incurred as a result of registrations deemed void in this manner.

Sales taxes are charged at the applicable rate depending on the product and/or customer.

Liability

Signing With Miss Steph does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information in, or views expressed on, its classes, workshops, events, etc. including course materials. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.

Disclaimers

While we endeavor to update and ensure that the information contained in all classes and workshops and on our site is correct, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability of any of them.

Some activities suggested or referred to in classes, workshops, or events may present a high risk of injury. Such activities may include lifting, reaching, handling hazardous or flammable products and using dangerous equipment or machinery. You are at all times responsible for assessing the appropriateness of using the information and must consider your personal health and physical suitability before using the same. You must consult a doctor if you are in doubt about your physical suitability.

Signing With Miss Steph nor its instructors will not be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage resulting from use of or participation in classes/workshops/events. We are also not responsible for providing advice on the health and safety requirements or precautions which should be observed. You must ensure that you comply with the health and safety guidelines provided with the products or equipment that you are using.

Signing With Miss Steph nor the instructor are responsible for any error or technical malfunctions that may affect any student's ability to register, or access a class or meeting.

You are responsible for and will indemnify and hold Signing With Miss Steph harmless from and against any and all liability, claims and losses resulting from your actions in connection with taking classes/workshops and your breach of any terms and conditions of this Terms and Conditions Agreement.

Reference materials and links provided in classes/workshops are provided by Signing With Miss Steph. Signing With Miss Steph does not assume responsibility or liability for the accuracy or completeness of content contained in reference materials or links. Signing With Miss Steph does not endorse any product, service or organization referenced.

All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

Prevailing terms and conditions

Please note that this and all other pre-contractual documentation shall not constitute an offer. All services provided by Signing With Miss Steph are on the basis of these Terms and Conditions and if you wish to engage any Signing With Miss Steph services we shall only provide them if you accept the Terms and Conditions.

Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights

All classes/workshops and materials (whether in-person or online, along with references used in or related to the classes/workshops, are the property of Signing With Miss Steph or of third parties and used under permission granted to Signing With Miss Steph and may only be used in the manner detailed in this Terms and Conditions Agreement. Permission to use the material in any other way must be obtained in writing from Signing With Miss Steph and/or the publisher or author of the material. These materials are for the sole use of individuals registered for the classes/workshops or others as approved by the Signing With Miss Steph. As a registrant, you may view and read all materials that are part of the class/workshop. You may also print any or all screen and pdf file pages for your personal use in taking the class/workshop, but you may not share, communicate, publish or in any manner distribute to other parties readings, references, links or any other materials. The terms and conditions regarding use of materials apply upon registration for the class/workshop, while you are taking the class/workshop, and upon and after completing, withdrawing from or terminating the class/workshop.

All intellectual property rights in all materials available from Signing With Miss Steph, including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials and the audio of all webinars and podcasts, are property of the owner. No content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without the owner's prior permission. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of the owner's intellectual property rights.

In-Person Classes/Workshop/Events

Signing With Miss Steph will make every effort to accommodate special requirements that have been notified at least 14 days in advance.

Everyone must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations and any other reasonable security requirements that apply at the premises at which the training courses are provided.

Signing With Miss Steph reserves the right to remove any delegate from a class, workshop, event, etc. whose behavior is deemed inappropriate by Signing With Miss Steph or its trainers. In these circumstances, Signing With Miss Steph will neither refund any fees nor reimburse any other costs.

"Play Classes" and any other class listed as attended by a child "with a parent/caregiver" are designed to be attended by both adult and child. No child may attend such a class unaccompanied.

You may not use the materials provided to you to provide any services of any kind to any other person (including other people within your organisation).

Materials provided to you shall not be reproduced or included in any other work or publication in any medium, may not be modified or altered in any way, may not be distributed or sold to any third party for any purpose, and you may not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices contained in the Materials.

Online/e-learning Classes/Workshop/Events

You may not allow other people (including other people within your organisation) to use your Registration Details or otherwise access the materials provided to you.

You may not use the materials provided to you to provide any services of any kind to any other person (including other people within your organisation).

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary and purchasing any equipment or software required to enable you to access our site, Courses or Materials. In particular, you will be responsible at your own cost for obtaining your own copy of the computer program, up to date internet browser software and any other software required to enable you to view or download the Materials.

Online classes require access to internet, use of webcam, and may require software download to participate. Signing With Miss Steph, nor the instructor, are responsible for any error or technical malfunctions that may affect any student's ability to access a class or meeting. No refund - full or partial - will be issued to a student who experiences such malfunctions.

We do not warrant that our site, the Courses or the Materials, or your access to them, will always be available or be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that our site, the classes/workshops/events or Materials or the server that makes them available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

You agree that you will not use any robot, spider or other device, process or means to access Signing With MIss Steph online classes/workshops/events. Nor shall you use any process to monitor or copy our Web pages or the content contained thereon or for any other unauthorized purpose without our prior expressed written permission. You agree that you will not compromise or circumvent the security controls of Signing With MIss Steph online classes/workshops/events or otherwise gain unauthorized access to Signing With Miss Steph online classes/workshops/events. You agree that you will not use any device, software or routine that interferes with the proper working of Signing With Miss Steph online classes/workshops/events nor shall you attempt to interfere with the proper working of Signing With Miss Steph online classes/workshops/events. You agree that you will not take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure. You agree that you will not copy, reproduce, alter, modify, create derivative works or publicly display any content from any Signing With Miss Steph online classes/workshops/events without the prior expressed written permission of Signing With Miss Steph.

Data Collection and Privacy

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; computer and connection information and purchase history. Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account or an order you've placed, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you.
